  • Design and conduct studies to investigate human diseases and methods to prevent and treat diseases
  • Prepare and analyze data from medical samples and investigate causes and treatment of toxicity, pathogens, or chronic diseases.
  • Standardize drugs’ potency, doses, and methods of administering to allow for their mass manufacturing and distribution.
  • Create and test medical devices
  • Follow safety procedures, such as decontaminating workspaces
  • Write research grant proposals and apply for funding from government agencies, private funding, and other sources
  • Write articles for publication and present research findings

Clinical pharmacologists research new drug therapies for health problems, such as seizure disorders and Alzheimer’s disease.

How do I qualify for a TN Visa as a Pharmacologist?

You might qualify for a TN Visa as a pharmacologist if you meet the following minimum qualifications:

  1. You are a Canadian or Mexican Citizen (Permanent Residents do NOT qualify);
  2. You have a job offer from a US employer or are servicing a contract with a US client;
  3. You will be performing duties consistent with a pharmacologist under the OOH;
  4. You have a Baccalaureate or Licenciatura Degree in a related field, and
  5. You can demonstrate that you have non-immigrant intent, that is, the intent to return to your foreign residence at the end of your temporary employment.

Is certification or licensure required to obtain TN Visa status as a Pharmacologist?

Certification or licensure is a post-entry requirement for TN visa status and is NOT a requirement to obtain TN visa status as a pharmacologist.
