Can I travel on my TN visa?

TN Visa status is work authorization issued under the US Mexican Canada Agreement (USCMA). The USMCA replaces the previous North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). TN Visa status is available to both Canadian citizens  (TN-1) and Mexican citizens (TN-2) working in the United States under any of the designated TN professions. Once your TN visa status has been issued, you will be authorized to work and live in the USA. You are also able to travel on your TN Visa.

As a Canadian citizen, do I need a J1 waiver for an H1B visa?

Canadian citizens on J-1 visas who receive graduate medical education or training in the United States are subject to a two-year home residency requirement. In general, the home residency requirement requires you to return to your home country for at least two years after completion of your J-1 program. If you cannot meet the two-year home residency requirement, you must apply for a waiver before you can obtain an H-1B visa.
