USCIS Update

The Potomac Service Center (PSC) has relocated to a new facility in Camp Springs, MD. Beginning November 13, 2023, PSC will no longer accept paper responses for various types of correspondence, including Notices of Intent to Deny (NOID), Notices of Intent to Revoke (NOIR), Intents to Deny (ITD), Requests for Evidence (RFE), or supporting documentation for pending filings.

To ensure a smooth transition and prevent any processing delays for your immigration applications, it’s crucial to stay informed about these updates.

Important Dates to Remember

  • The relocation of the Potomac Service Center to Camp Springs, MD, became effective on August 21, 2023. This move is aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of USCIS services.
  • Starting on November 13, 2023, the Potomac Service Center will no longer accept mailed correspondence.

Where to Send Your Correspondence

To ensure that your documents reach the appropriate USCIS center without delays, it is essential to follow the new guidelines.  If your case is processed by the Potomac Service Center, all mailed correspondence should be directed to the Texas Service Center (TSC), unless otherwise specified.

Here’s the address where you should mail your documents:

USCIS Texas Service Center

Attn: Digital RFE

6046 N Belt Line Rd. STE 114

Irving, TX 75038

To simplify the process further and expedite your application, USCIS strongly encourages you to use the self-service tools available in your USCIS online account to upload your responses for all online cases. This is especially important for cases that have receipt notices starting with IOE-.

How to Avoid Processing Delays

To avoid any unnecessary processing delays or complications with your immigration applications, here are some essential steps to consider:

  • Familiarize Yourself with the Changes: Be aware of the Potomac Service Center’s relocation and the transition to digital correspondence.
  • Check Your Case: Verify whether your case is processed by the Potomac Service Center and whether it requires any responses or documentation.
  • Utilize Your USCIS Online Account: Whenever possible, use your USCIS online account to upload responses and documents for online cases. This will streamline the process and ensure your materials are delivered promptly.
  • Mail Documents to the Correct Address: If mailing documents is the only option, make sure to send them to the Texas Service Center’s address provided above. Double-check your case-specific instructions for any variations.
  • Stay Informed: USCIS may provide further updates or clarifications. Regularly check the USCIS website or your online account for the latest information.

While the Potomac Service Center’s move to Camp Springs, MD, and the shift to digital correspondence may initially seem daunting, taking the right steps will help you adapt seamlessly and prevent any processing delays.
