L-1 visa six-month rule

An intermittent L-1 visa allows executives, managers, and specialized knowledge employees to work part-time or seasonally in the U.S. while maintaining a residence abroad. This unique classification can permit indefinite L-1 status, as long as time in the U.S. remains under six months per year and qualifying foreign employment continues.
