How to retrieve your CBP Form I94 Record
US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Form I-94 is a record of lawful admission to the United States. CBP Form I-94 indicates the date you were admitted, your class of admission (TN, H1B, L1, etc.), and the date your lawful admission expires (Admit until date). Form I-94 is used to prove your lawful admission and in the case of employment, your authorization to work in the United States.
CBP has transitioned primarily to electronic I-94s. The most recent I-94 admission record can be printed and used as evidence of lawful admission and in some cases authorization to work in the United States. CBP Form I94 is often required to obtain a US SSN as well as to prove lawful admission for adjustment of status.
You can retrieve both your electronic CBP Form I-94 as well as your recorded travel history directly with CBP.
